The chk-periods.p program can be run to check the validity of your accounting periods. It searches for omissions in the sequence fiscal years and for gaps between the ending date of each fiscal year and starting date of the one that follows. When it is complete, a message will be displayed indicating if any problems were found. If so, you can find a listing of the problems in the output file called "bad-periods.out".
