Purge Syteline Transaction: Financial
Transaction
In here, I shall separate Financial Transactions into
- Account
Payable : use Delete A/P Posted Transaction
- Account
Receivable : use Delete A/R Posted Transaction
- General
Ledger : use Compress General Ledger
Transaction
Delete A/P Posted
Transaction
This utility deletes all fully paid vouchers for the
selected vendors.
1.
Enter the appropriate data in these
fields:
- Through Date - The current system date displays by default, but you
can change it to the last date that a voucher's invoice date can be deleted. If
a voucher has due date that falls after this date, it will not be deleted,
regardless of whether or not the voucher has been paid.
- Starting and Ending
Vendor - Select the range of vendors whose
transactions you want to delete. To delete transactions for all vendors, leave
both these fields blank.
- Purge Non A/P
Payments - Select this check box to delete all
non-A/P payments for the selected vendors.
- Preview/Commit
- Select
Preview to view the results of
running the uti.lity without saving the results in the database. Select Commit to save the results in the
database.
2. Select Process
to start the process.
Delete A/R Posted
Transaction
This utility deletes all invoices up to the amount of
the payment available.
1. Enter data in these
fields:
• Through Date - Enter or select the date
through which to delete A/R transactions, or accept the default of the current
system date. • Statement Cycles - Enter the statement
cycle(s) for which you want to delete A/P transactions: W for Weekly, M for
Monthly, Q for Quarterly, or A for All. • Starting and Ending Customers - Enter or
select the range of customers for which you want to delete A/R
transactions. • Preview/Commit - Select Preview to view
the results of running the utility without saving the results in the database.
Select Commit to save the results in the database.
2. Select Process to process your
selections.
Compress General Ledger
Transactions
This utility deletes records from the General Ledger
Posted Transactions form.
1. Enter data in these
fields:
- Transaction Date -
Enter or select the date through which to delete G/Ltransactions, or accept the
default of the current system date
- Account – Enter to
select first and last account you want to process
- Compression Level –
It will put blank to your Report Unit or Account
- Compres.s By -
Compression by "Date" summarizes all transactions with the same date for
selected accounts or reporting units.
Compression by "Period" summarizes
all transactions in the same period for the selected accounts or reporting units
setting the date of the new transaction to the period end date. When
compressing by "Period" only transactions falling within the currently defined
Accounting Period are compressed.

Select Process to process your
selections.
The three utilities above are the main utility to purge
financial transaction, anyway there are a lot of utilities to purge
records in Financial Module.
- Purge Voucher
History à to delete records associated with
posted transaction from voucher history
- Delete voucher
pre-register Utility à to delete all voucher
pre-registers
- A/R Draft Purge
à to delete draft
records
- Purge Invoice
History à to delete records associated with
posted transaction from invoice history
- Purge Journal
Entries à to delete Journal entries
records.
It’s recommended to backup your database before
performing this deletion.
Once you run this utility, you’ll be unable to review
the detailed transaction. |
