Symptom : I can't generate a Material Planner Workbench.
Database : Progress, SQL
Cause
You generated the Material Planner Workbench (MPW) with a 'blank' Planner Code. By doing so, you essentially 'locked' all of those material planner workbench records to your logon. (That doesn't mean that those records can't be seen in the Planning Detail form by others; it means that those records aren't available to others who try to generate their own workbench.)
Fix
MRP Planning also deletes PLN's from the workbench. These PLNs that are deleted are only those on the MPW for the user processing MRP.
To 'free up'
the Material Planner Workbench records for others, you would:
1) Logon the same way you did when you generated the original workbench or find
the person who generated the Workbench with a 'blank' Planner Code.
2) Open the Material Planner Workbench Generation form
3) In the 'Source' area uncheck: Purchased, Manufactured, and
Transferred
4) Use a 'blank' planner code
5) Use an Ending Date of today
6) Hit the 'process' button
This should
delete your old planner workbench and essentially not create any new
workbench. You would know this if the dialog at the end of the process
said:
"0 MRP records were processed"
Now, others can create their own Planner's workbench.
